Gibson J45 Rosewood 2001 Vintage Sunburst Electro Acoustic Guitar
Here for sale we have a Gibson J45 Rosewood from 2001. The J45 is quite simply one of the most revered acoustic guitars of all timed and for good reason. This limited edition is constructed using Rosewood instead of Mahogany, this makes the guitar a little tighter sounding with the bass and treble sounds accentuated and less mids than Mahogany. The X-bracing offers a fantastic projection as well by keeping the top rigid with a little flexibility. It is in fantastic condition and plays really well, the work on the bridge to convert the guitar to a left hander than back to a right hander has been executed extremely well with hardly any scares visible from the work.

J45s are extremely popular and seem to retail for more and more each year without any spec change. The discreet active pre-amp sounds brilliant when plugged into an amp.

Guitar Type - Round shouldered Dreadnought Electro Acoustic. Body - Solid Rosewood Back and Sides and Solid Spruce Top. Luthier report by Adam North Guitars. Headstock- Good condition with some marks on the front and the rear. Most notably the small chipping as is common place on the top rear of the headstock and the marks below the bass machine head.

There is also aging of the Gibson Logo on the headstock, which is a great detail in my opinion. Neck- The guitar has been well played over time and the neck shows signs. There is thinning and wearing of the finish and a few very minor indentation/dings near the first few frets near the nut. The finish is wearing nicely and has a'smooth sanded down feel' without the tackiness sometimes of a brand new Gibson.

It is wonderfully playable and full of character. Body- Various marks and scratches, noticeable but not significant. Any Extra Condition Notes- There are some small marks/dings and scratches around the most commonly touched surfaces when playing the instrument. Some scratching around where the pickguard is and some dings around where your arm would typically sit.

These marks and dings extend to the side of the instrument with the back having a few scratches and a couple of dings. The entire body has various marks and scratches but nothing that would affect the structure, these will be visible on the pictures. Shape and condition is very good.

Truss Rod & Bridge- Fully Functional and can be adjusted. Top of Guitar- The top of the guitar is not bellying. Height of the string from the 12th Fret- 1.75 mm Each side. Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar- 12 - 53.

Electrics are in full working order. The guitar has had some previous conversion work. It was turned from a right handed to a left handed and converted back to a right handed before resale.

The frets have also been levelled newly and are in great condition to help the guitar resonate. The work undertaken is of a high standard and the luthier who has undertaken the work has done an astonishing job. The bridge shows a light scar from its conversion, but you can barely tell and it has been carried out with great care and great skill. The frets are in great shape and you can tell the previous owner not only liked to play the instrument but looked after it.
