Takamine EF-391 ME Black Gloss 1986 Electro Acoustic Guitar

Takamine EF-391 ME Black Gloss 1986 Electro Acoustic Guitar. Here for sale we have the Takamine EF-391 ME Electro Acoustic Guitar in the Black Gloss finish.

Built in Japan in 1986. This guitar features a Solid Spruce top with Maple back and sides. The neck is also built with Maple and is topped with a 20 fret Ebony fingerboard. The scale length of this guitar is 25.5" and the width of the nut is 1.7". The Takamine EF-391 ME has a reputation for being comfortable and easy to play.

The slim profile of the neck and the low action of the strings make it easy for players to move around the fingerboard and execute complex chord changes and solos. The guitar also has a bright and balanced sound that is well-suited to a wide range of playing styles, from fingerpicking to strumming. The lower cutaway on the guitar also allows for unrestricted access to the higher register of the guitar. The maple back and sides contribute to a bright and clear tone with good sustain.

The solid spruce top provides a balanced sound with good projection and a wide dynamic range. The combination of maple and spruce results in a tonally versatile guitar that can handle a range of playing styles. The EF-391 ME also features an ebony fingerboard, which adds clarity and definition to the notes. The CT-4B preamp system, which includes a built-in tuner, EQ controls, and a notch filter, allows players to easily amplify and adjust the guitar's sound. Back & Sides - Maple. Nut Width - 1.7. Controls - Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble. Luthier Report By Adam North Guitars.

Headstock: Presents various instances of marking, denting and chipping in the lacquer (mainly front and sides), not affecting maintenance nor playability. Neck: Presents some instances of marking, light denting and noticeable chipping in the lacquer (rear and sides); the bottom portion of the binding to the neck heel is coming off slightly presenting cracking to the lacquer (stable, not of structural concern); none of this is affecting maintenance nor playability.

Body: Presents noticeable marking to the whole surface and scattered instances of cracking to the lacquer, denting and wear; none of this is affecting maintenance nor playability. Presents signs of gradually decreasing indentation from 1st to 5th fret (G, B and high E strings), this will affect playability as it would produce a buzzing feedback when played intensely on those precise strings.

Truss Rod Condition: Fully functional & can be adjusted. Hardware Condition: The metal hardware presents noticeable ageing. Structural Condition: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret- Treble 2.5mm - Bass 3mm.

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 11-52.

The set up is fully adjustable. There is virtually no further room in the saddle to lower the action. Shows various signs of wear, not affecting use.
