Washburn AB5 2012 Natural Electro-Acoustic Bass

Here for sale we have a Washburn AB5 Electro-Acoustic Bass guitar in a natural gloss finish. Made in 2012, this Chinese crafted bass features a Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, a Mahogany neck, Engineered Wood fingerboard and a QPH preamp system. Washburn acoustic basses are known for their style, quality, tone and playability and they sound great when amplified. The scale length of this instrument is 32 inches with a nut width of 1.6875 inches. The Spruce top adds a really nice snap to the tone of the bass and nicely compliments the resonance and sustain of the Mahogany back and sides to create a rich, full tone when amplified or unplugged. The Mahogany neck feels great in the hand and adds a decent amount of sustain to the overall tone. The 22-fret engineered wood fingerboard makes for a comfortable bed for your fingers to be placed on and makes it easy to move your fingers up and down the fingerboard. The QPH preamp system that is fitted in the AB5 does an excellent job of amplifying the instrument without taking away too much of its natural sound. The 4 band EQ allows you to mould your tone to your liking and also helps you to cut through the mix in a live or recording setting. Guitar Type - Electro-Acoustic Bass. Back and Sides - Mahogany. Pickups - QPH Preamp System. Controls - Volume, Phase, 4 band EQ. Luthier Report by Adam North Guitars. Headstock- The face of the headstock shows some light surface scratches that are only visible in certain lighting.

The back of the headstock shows some light fading of the finish to the bottom right of the D string machine and a small mark to the bottom left of the G string machine head. The top and sides of the headstock are in very good condition. The nut has a very small chip next to the D string insert but does not affect the sound of the guitar.

Neck- The neck of the guitar has very light surface scratches to the finish but are only visible in certain lighting with a few very small blemishes across the length of the neck but cannot be felt when being played and do not affect the playability of the guitar. There is some wear to the binding at the 2nd-8th frets on the bass side and some hairline cracks at the 5th fret and the 13th fret but are hardly visible and do not affect the guitar's playability.

Body- The front, back and sides of the body have some light surface scratches that are only visible in certain lighting and do not detract at all from the finish and overall look of the guitar. The frets show very light playing wear with very little indentation. This does not affect the playability or overall sound of the instrument.

Truss Rod & Bridge- Fully Functional and can be adjusted. Height of the string from the 12th Fret- 3.5mm bass 2.75mm treble. Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. The bridge has room to be adjusted if a lower action is desired by the new owner. Strings on Guitar- 45 - 100.

Electrics are in full working order. The guitar is in very good condition with a few very light surface scratches that can only be seen in certain lighting.

The setup can be adjusted to the preference of the new owner and the truss rod is in full working order. The playability of the guitar is very good and the electrics are in full working order. We are a Manchester based retailer specialising in second hand guitars.
